Archiving Policy

OSTI (Originality System of Technology Information) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. The journal employs advanced archiving systems to safeguard its articles and ensure that they remain available to researchers, readers, and institutions, even in the event of unexpected circumstances.

Archiving Systems

  1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN):
OSTI participates in the PKP Preservation Network, a reliable archiving solution provided by the Public Knowledge Project. PKP PN ensures that all published content is preserved in a distributed network of servers, enabling seamless access in case of data loss or journal discontinuation.

  2. LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe):
OSTI integrates with the LOCKSS program, which preserves its content by creating multiple copies stored in libraries worldwide. This decentralized approach ensures the security and integrity of the journal's digital content over time.

  3. CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS):
OSTI also collaborates with the CLOCKSS initiative to maintain a secure and trusted digital archive. CLOCKSS ensures long-term preservation by storing journal content in a network of geographically distributed nodes, guaranteeing accessibility even if the journal ceases operations.

Accessibility

  • In the event that OSTI becomes unavailable or ceases operations, these archiving systems ensure the continuity of access to the journal's content for libraries, researchers, and the academic community.
  • Archived articles are preserved in their original formats, ensuring the integrity and authenticity of the published research.
