Inappropriate use of antibiotics contributes to the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance, which is a major global health concern. Lack of public awareness regarding rational antibiotic use remains one of the key contributing factors. This community service activity aimed to improve public knowledge on the wise use of antibiotics through direct education to patients and visitors at Sanafarma Pharmacy, South Jakarta. The method involved educational counseling using effective communication, printed brochures, and questionnaire distribution. The activity was carried out over six days (August 19–24, 2024) involving 30 respondents. Analysis showed that although most respondents had basic knowledge about antibiotic use, misconceptions such as stopping antibiotics prematurely or using them without a prescription still occurred. The educational approach was proven to increase participants’ awareness of the importance of following medical instructions and the risks of resistance. This activity highlights the critical role of pharmacy professionals in delivering accurate information to the community to promote rational antibiotic use.
