Abstract

on the work performance of Padangsidimpuan City Samsat employees. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. Data collection procedures in this research are observation, questionnaires, documentation and interviews. The data analysis techniques in this research are correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing (t test), and coefficient of determination test (R2). The test results using correlation analysis state that variable strong) which is 0.502. Based on the test results using simple linear regression analysis, the equation is obtained: Y = a + bX + ε or Employee Performance = 2.143 + 0.527 Self Efficacy + ε. From the simple linear regression equation, the regression coefficient value for the Self Efficacy variable is (+) 0.527. This coefficient indicates that there is a positive and significant relationship between the Self Efficacy variable (X) and Employee Work Performance (Y). From the results of the t test, the calculated t value is 4.215, while the t table value is 2.262 at a significance level of 0.000. So, from the test results it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between variable X and variable Y, because the calculated t value is greater than the t table value, namely 4.215 > 2.262. From the results of the coefficient of determination test, the R value is 0.502, while the R2 value is 0.394. Because this coefficient of determination test is obtained from a simple linear regression calculation, the coefficient of determination is 0.394 or R2 x 100% is 39.4%. This means that this value has the implication that the influence of variable by other variables not discussed in this research. Thus, the hypothesis formulated in this research can be accepted as true, namely that Self Efficacy (X) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Work Performance (Y) of Padangsidimpuan City Samsat by 39.4%.
